Yesterday, my work group at the summer job received an email from our “boss” saying that today would be our last day and that they would buy us lunch at 12 (and then let us go).

That is pretty much how the day played out. We worked, we ate, we left.

I had mixed feelings about the whole thing. I was ready for the job to end, since I knew that it was ending so soon anyway. I was ready to enjoy the rest of my summer. Those bus rides were long and made my day extra long. I was tired all the time.

However, I was still saddened when I heard the news that we would be finished a day and a half early. Getting off early gave me the chance to hang out with my family, though. My sister from Ohio was in town and everything, and all of my siblings and their children ended up at my parents house spending the day together.

Now I just need to figure out what to do with the rest of my summer.

I did look at jobs on oDesk to which I may want to apply. I could possibly still be in a position to buy a used car at the end of the summer if I play my cards right.
