Driving Chronicles #9: I Can Sing a Rainbow
So, today, I drove at night for the first time in my life. The only other times that I have driven outside of my paid lessons this permit go round have been during the two times that my sister let me drive to the store. The store is only about a mile, mile and a half tops, away, so it is a really short drive.
It was pitch black out there. Some cities really do not believe in street lights, but I think that I did fine with the dark. I do not know what it is, but I am even more nervous when driving with my sister, so I do not drive as well as I do with my instructor. I think it plays some into my apparent dependence on the instructor telling me what to do, as well. My sister, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of the instructor. If I ask her something she says, “No,” or refuses to tell me what to do. Her outlook is that she will not be there with me all the time to tell me what to do, so I need to learn on my own. But that is just it, I am still learning right now. It just takes time.
On another note, it rained today, and there was a rainbow. I do not see these very much anymore, so I took a picture. Do not worry. I took these pictures when my sister was driving.
