Folding Sheets

I had to fold some sheets last night. For most of my adult life, I have hated folding sheets. I despise folding sheets. When I was younger, folding sheets was not as big of a deal, probably because it was twin sheets back then.

I know that it was earlier for some people, but I did not stop sleeping in a twin bed until I was in graduate school. That is when folding sheets really got to be a hassle. I guess it is not so bad if you have someone to fold sheets with you, but even for the time that I did, I still hated folding sheets. I tried to be elsewhere when the sheet folding, and bed making for that matter, was happening.

I hate folding sheets so much that I will wash and dry them and then leave them in the dryer until I need it to dry something else. Sometimes, I am so determined not to fold sheets that when sheets are in the dryer and I need to dry something else, I will sometimes take the sheets out put them in a basket, dry the other load, and put the sheets back in the dryer after the second load is dry and put away. Shaking my head. I do not leave the sheets in the basket because I do not like to have things sitting out like that.

And what is up with the fitted sheet? How are you supposed to fold that? This article and the videos below tell how to fold fitted sheets, but it all still looks like way too much effort to me.

Umm. Is the tag not sufficient enough to tell you what is the top and what is the bottom of the sheet? I do not think that is really a benefit that the Fit and Fold people should claim.

Up until now, I just pull the seems of the four corners of the fitted sheets and fold that way. The ends are not tucked in, so it does really become a folded mess or sorts. I am going to try the sheet folding method above next time on the fitted sheet to see if it makes it any easier or tolerable.
