Giving Thanks
It is very easy to take one’s blessings for granted. Even on Thanksgiving, I had trouble remembering to give thanks because I spent the morning being overwhelmed by a freelance project on which I had been working. After about 3:00pm, I gave up and went to my parents for Thanksgiving. That was a good thing because my whole family was there and that helped me realize that there is so much for which I should be thankful.
So, for this post, I am going to actively list some of the things for which I am thankful. I think that this will help me really acknowledge them and hopefully remember my blessings more.
I am thankful that I have decent hearing.
I am thankful that I have correctable eyesight.
I am thankful that have a good sense of smell.
I am thankful that I can actually taste my yummy vegan food.
I am thankful to have a few jobs which allow me to:
Be thankful to be able to pay my bills
Be thankful for having a roof over my head
Be thankful for having food to eat
I am thankful to have had a pretty good life free from real physical harm.
I am thankful to have climate appropriate, comfortable clothing to wear.
I am thankful for family and the few friends that I have. Here are some of those small wonders here.
I am thankful for all of the learning opportunities and trials that I have had in my life because I know that they are all for a reason and ultimately part of God’s plan.
I am thankful to know God becuase when all else fails, I still have Him, and He will bring me through.
