Goal Side Note: Lapsing on Old, Good Habits
In the past few days, I think that I may have lapsed on one of my old, good habits. Earlier this year, I unknowingly made a habit of flossing daily. Sorry if it sounds gross to not have already been doing it, but normal for me was a couple times a week. To my credit, I brush obsessively, and I have never had a cavity in my life so far. My curse, instead, is two very crooked front teeth separated by a large gap in the midst of many other crooked and spaced teeth. Totally fixable, with several thousand anyway…
So, I am pretty sure that I forgot to floss the day Sunday and Monday. I usually floss before I go to bed. If I miss, then I floss in the morning after breakfast and still floss that same night. But I do not remember doing that either.
My question then becomes, “Did I break my habit and do I need to start all over, or is that just a normal disruption?” Just wondering. I have been flossing ever since. Actually, I still need to floss tonight. Man, I don’t feel like it.
