Wow! I never thought that I would see the day. Even after Obama won to be the Democratic candidate in the election, I still, honestly, did not believe that I would see the election of a person of African-American descent to the presidency of the United States of America in my lifetime. A sad thought, but a very real one for me.

So, imagine my pride and happiness when I was able to do just that, while still in relatively young years. And to think that my parents, twice my age, were alive to see it, too. Even if I were a McCain supporter, I would still have been brought to the near tears at the news simply because this historic election means an amazing thing for us as a people. It means–Yes, we can!
