Precious moments in the life of Urs…

Just a Face in the Crowd

You know that little radio in your head that gets a song stuck on repeat that is so hard to get out of your head sometimes? I have no idea why, but Lionel Richie‘s “Face in the Crowd (featuring Trijntje Oosterhuis)” has been in my head all week. I was already drawn to the song when the album “Just Go” first came out in May. It received an immediate four stars in iTunes. That still does not explain why, for some reason, I have been going to bed with this song in my head and waking up with it in my head, too. Weird.

It is one of those songs about liking someone, but that someone does not know that you exist. You, hence, are just a face in the crowd. I can assure you that this is not going on with me, so that is ruled out as reason for the song sticking with me. I have already said in a previous post that “I love me some Lionel Richie,” but I guess that I am also taken by the combination of Lionel Richie and Trijntje Oosterhuis. The song follows below. What do you think about it?

While I am at it, here are a few of my other favorite and fairly recent Lionel Richie solo songs:

Just Go” from “Just Go

What You Are” from “Coming Home

I could not find video or audio for this song, but here are the lyrics courtesy of metrolyrics.com
