…Murder While I’m Eating
In the past couple of years, I have been trying to be more conscious of what is going on in the world around me. I have resorted to occasionally reading articles from what some deem as “news for idiots”–USA Today and my local papers. I get tired of always reading tragic and sad stories, though. I have started to feel like Ben Harper in Please Don’t Talk about Murder While I’m Eating.
I started looking for news sites that focused on happy, or good news. I figured that something like that must exist; however, the sites that I found were not of the best quality, did not seem to updated frequently enough, and featured uninteresting stories.
The other day, when I was logging off hotmail web mail, I saw a link for MSN‘s Wake Up To Good News. On this site, the focus is, obviously, good news. Despite the sponsoring and plug for Folgers coffee, and the scary lady that gives the news, it was nice that someone is putting in an effort for some sort of good news. Good things do happen in the world along side all of the bad. I think that it is nice to read about some of that good news some times.
