No Angel
During my life I have had several people, usually guys, refer to me as an angel. If I am an angel, then God forgot to tell me, and I am probably wasting His time.
It is amazing how much an effect little things can have on people. I do not really try to affect people. I just try to treat people with kindness and respect. I try to treat people how I would want to them to treat me. I try to treat people the way I think God would want me to treat them.
Sometimes people get it and think I am stupid for being so nice. Sometimes people get it and give the same back to me. But there are times when people just do not get it. Such people read way too much into it.
That is when this “angel” business comes into play. People put me on this high pedestal and then just end up being disappointed when they find out I am only human like everyone else.
I cry, I poop, and I make mistakes constantly, just like everyone else. Far be I from an angel, and even farther from being perfect.
It is frustrating to deal with people who make this mistake with me because, many times, I go from being an angel to being the devil incarnate in their eyes.
So, here, for the record, I am letting everyone know–I am no angel. I am more like you than you probably would want to know.
