There is nothing like a power outage to help you realize just how digital your life is. We had a few really bad storms today, and I lost my power. I do not use my lights much during the day anyway, but it was already pretty dark because of the storm in the first place.

I had heated up my dinner moments before the electricity went out, so I did not need to open the refrigerator or freezer anymore. Still, I was not sure how long the outage would last. I kept wondering if it was okay to use both my DS and iPod at the same time or whether I should use one at a time, just in case the outage lasted for a long time. After all, I could charge neither during the outage. LOL

I ended up being out of power for around eighteen hours. Some of those hours were overnight, so it was not too bad. Even without being able to use many electrical devices, I did not mind being in the dark. What bothered, though, me was that there were a few things that did not hold in my fridge. I do not like wasting food, nor replacing wasted food. Nevertheless, I am glad that I did not have to throw away everything.
