The beginning of the end
Today marks the beginning of the end of another era in Apple Computer (oops it’s just Apple now) history. Today is the first day of the last Macworld that Apple will attend.
Being the kind of Apple geek fan that I am, it saddens my heart, especially since I never got the chance to actually go to a Macworld. I was still planning my trip.
Not only will this be the last time that Apple attends, but the keynote will not even be given by Steve Jobs! What a sad, sad day tomorrow will be.
And we all know what happened to Macworld New York/Boston when Apple stopped attending. This may very well be the death of Macworld Expos period. They were so fun to watch. Oh, well.
I guess I will never be able to make the trip and see Jobs talk about what is new and hot, and find a great surprise under my seat, and see all of the cool new gadgets for Mac users. I am glad to hear that Jobs will stay on as CEO while he continues his hormone therapy, though. But, my how things change. Life goes on, though, right?
It’s just like everything else in life. Change always happens, we either resist, probably making life more difficult, or we adapt. Luckily, this small change in my world should be easier to deal with than some other changes I have experienced in the last few months.
