This is Breaking News
The musical moment that I have been waiting for is about to come. Nevertheless, if this is a sign of what is to come, then my excitement is quelled. There was so much talk about why Sony was taking so long to release new Michael Jackson material. The answer was that they wanted to do it right. They wanted to produce something that would stand up to the expectations of his fans and be something up to par with Michael‘s other releases.
Today, the song “Breaking News” was released to the public. Aside from the controversy about whether or not it is even Michael singing, the song is not a bad song. It is not a great song either, though. I know that there has got to be better music in the crates than this.

Update: Sorry if the video is not working. The video was the link sent to me by Sony when the song was first released. Since then, videos of this song have all but disappeared now that the official singles have been released. Hmm. Pulling back promotion of the song like that kind of lends credit to the “it’s not Michael” camp does it not?
